How I spent my past few weeks:
9/12, Monday
Delivered survival packs to the 2 guys who were gonna enlist the next morning. The journey to Jayden's place was torturously long but their shocked/happy faces made all the efforts worthwhile :-) Take care guys I'll miss you guys see y'all soon :-)
10/12, Tuesday
Caught up with my primary school best friend over dinner @ With a Pinch of Salt yay!!!!! The beef stew I ordered was super disappointing though, I'll stick to their fish/chicken cordon bleu next time.
Little Ice Cream Kafe (LICK)
My fav photo of the night :-)
11/12, Wednesday
I was supposed to help out at a children's club as a volunteer, but just half an hour before the event, I was told that my name wasn't on the list due to some miscommunications. Met up with best and siew instead for brunch @ Penny University hehehe yay for spontaneous friends!!! Wasn't extremely fond of their eggs ben/ iced mocha though, and it took us quite awhile to find seats.
13/12, Friday
Prata breakfast with my purple-head loi :-)
Excuse our sleepy faces hahahaha (and we are always looking at the wrong direction I don't get it too)
Cheese pratas, sugar, curry and teh si (milk tea) yum
Met the LY guys and Weijia that night for mookata @ Golden Mile :-)
(We didn't manage to take even one proper shot that night hahahaha there were seven of us that night)
15/12, Sunday
Family day out! :-) Went shopping and had some really yummy noodles and blackball hehehe
My fav buy of that day is definitely my monkey cover hahahaha I love it
19/12, Thursday
Lunch at Old Airport Rd with best. Finally satisfied my craving for Holy Grill!!!!!!!!!!! Their grilled fish and baked potato and fries were so good :-) (all these for 6 dollars!)
Discovered a 'hidden' bookstore by chance that day and got these two books for 23 dollars in total which was a kill :-) (This bookstore's located at the top floor of Parkway Parade!)
20/12, Friday
Since it was my off day (I'll share more about work later), my mum offered to bring me out hehehe we ended up so bloated from a 8-course meal @ Ichiban Boshi and tea @ Canele hahahaha both were so satisfying nevertheless.
Strawberry shortcake and salted caramel macaron
22/12, Sunday
Visited a warehouse sale @ Lavender with my sister and got a few dresses and accessories for less than 20 each :-) Spent the rest of the day at my grandma's place, celebrating dong zhi with tangyuan and steamboat hehehe my grandma was so happy that day when we told her her tangyuan's the best we've ever tasted :-)
some traditional, colorful tangyuan
Met Janice that night and tried shots for the first time @ Five Bar. A dozen of Sex on the Beach shots only costed us 30 dollars in total which is really cheap?!

24/12, Tuesday
After GOP 3 (to be talked about later), I met my girls at Clarke Quay to celebrate Christmas in advance :-)
Dinner @ Verve Pizza Bar :-) Loved their pizzas (the pizzas were baked upon order) and house pours (the bartender was so happy when we told him "anything will do", so he made us a mixture of everything and it actually tasted so good we were so impressed). And 3 pizzas and 6 drinks only costed us 22 dollars each.
My favorite girls :-) (Missing Venise!)
25/12, Wednesday
Spent Christmas with my family shopping and watching Christmas films at home :-) :-)
27/12, Friday
After my last day of GOP, I met qi for dinner at Sushi Express @ 313, and got my own clip-on fish eye lens yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Got it at *Scape basement at 18 dollars :-) ) So here's a fish eye photo of Lin Jia Qi when we were chilling at this thai iced tea shop beside *Scape *.* (Thai iced tea was good too, try it!)
Siew came over to join us after her work :-) (A very awkward photo but ya at least it's not as blur as my other photos hahahaha)
Back to Verve Pizza Bar for more pizza and beer.
Met Xiaomin outside the thai iced tea shop hehehe *.*
28/12, Saturday
Reunited with my fav people yay!!!!!!!! Old airport rd feast with the army boys and Loi :-)
Reunited with my fav people yay!!!!!!!! Old airport rd feast with the army boys and Loi :-)
Holy Grill's grilled fish, pork ribs, cereal prawns, black + white carrot cake, sambal sotong :-)
Cap day for the army boys hahahaha
29/12, Sunday
Met Jiaai, Weijia, Germ and Shan at Holland Village for dinner @ Wala Wala Cafe Bar :-) We were hoping we'll get to enjoy the live band upstairs, but apparently you've to be 21 and above to enjoy that. The pizza and drinks were decent though! After dinner, we headed over to Haji Lane, and I tried sheesha/shisha for the first time hahahaha it was alright although I wasn't very comfortable at first. Thank you girls I'm glad we met up we haven't seen each other in such a long time! Love y'all and see you soon! :-)

What I do in my free time:
I order pizzas,
and dig out my 11-years-old PS1 to play metal slug hahahaha
I haven't been able to read much because of work and all, but I did manage to complete Catching Fire these few weeks yay!!! It was a good read :-) I like Catching Fire (film)'s graphics, but I thought the movie left out too many details from the book. I've a feeling those will be included in the third or fourth movie though? Can't wait already :-)
As for movies, I have been watching a lot of Christmas movies recently hehehe especially animated ones!!! My favorite is still Arthur Christmas (besides Rise of the Guardians) yay it's such a light-hearted movie :-) Haven't gotten the chance to catch Frozen though........ Oh and I watched Couples Retreat a few nights ago and thought it was so hilarious I laughed like mad, but my sister thought it was lame hahahahaha please watch it if you're in the mood for a comedy!
I'm really into Arctic Monkeys' music these days hehehe here are some of my favorite songs!
(On a side note), here's a photo of the white chocolate croissant I'm enjoying now while blogging hehehe St. Marc Cafe definitely has one of the best croissants in town. Their strawberry/ green tea ones are really good too!!!!!!!!!!!!
And the playlist I'm listening to now:
Do check it out! It's one of the best 8tracks playlist I've heard, and since it's the last day of the year, you can check them out and enjoy some of the best indie songs released in 2013 :-)

Work:
So for those who still don't know yet, I am working at USS now, under attraction operations yay!!! And no, contrary to popular belief, I do not just stand at a corner and press a single button (that's under controls anyway). I'll share more about my attraction's job scope later :-)
16/12, Monday - 17/12, Tuesday
Attended corporate induction program at RWS convention centre, which was basically a welcome session for all new staff from different business units under RWS. There were activities and all, but it was mostly filled with talks and more talks learning about company history.............. Did learn a few things about the service industry though.
18/12, Wednesday, 21/12, Saturday
Had my first 2 on-job training (OJT) sessions (which are different from the corporate induction program). For OJT, I'm sent to my own assigned attraction, which is Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase (SST in short), a ride mostly for families and kids :-) I'm definitely happy with my assigned attraction since I love kids hahaha but the outfit is really.................
As suggested from the attraction's name, it's a ride where guests are "sent off to space" to hunt down this bad dude called Macaroni the Merciless HAHA anyway that's the reason why we are dressed like this......... (like we are going to space)
But anyway, I have 2 more OJT sessions to go before 2 tests, and then I'll be (finally), (officially) signed off by my manager! There are lots to learn during the OJT sessions, which include learning how to fulfill different roles (for example, greeter up at the front door has to check for express tickets and for kids' height), radio codes, safety measures, the map (where the halal restaurants are located at, etc), and so on. Lucky for me my trainer has been nothing but patient and helpful, so OJT sessions were made easier for me :-)
24/12, Tuesday, 26/12, Thursday, 27/12, Friday
These three days I attended GOP (I honestly don't know what it stands for) training, which is actually a continuation of the corporate induction program, but just with a smaller group. I know it's confusing hahaha but corporate induction program and GOP training were supposed to be side by side, and I was only supposed to start OJT after my GOP ends. I guess I'm one of the few exceptions (yunrong is one too but we are in different attractions).
So on the first day of GOP, we toured around USS, attended classroom training, and got to take all the rides yay!!!!!!!!!
On the second day of GOP, we toured around the S.E.A Aquarium, Adventure Cove, Dolphin Island and attended more classroom training, which was actually held in the castle hehehe
The view from inside the castle!
Oh and the dolphin instructors we met are really like those surfer dudes you see in Hollywood movies *.* The way they flip their hair and smile (with dimples) and get out of the water..... *.* This auntie in my group likes to joke about how she's "gonna transfer to Dolphin Island after 6 months" hahahahahaha
On the last day of GOP, we had an assessment on what we've learnt during classroom training. After which, many of them had to go for wardrobe fitting, but since yunrong and I had already done it during our OJT days, we were spared from it yay!!!!!!! So during that free time, we walked around the park and got ourselves turkey drumstick to share hehehe
A photo of my GOP group!!! All of them were incredibly friendly and helpful and made GOP so much more interesting :-) Thankful for them!
30/12, Monday
I was supposed to attend my third OJT, but I was sent to Revenge of the Mummy as "rescue" instead cause they were shorthanded. It was a good experience, but very, very tiring since there were many things we had to look out for (no bags, at least 122cm tall, etc).

Last day of the year
I can hardly remember anything bout 2013 (except that it was stressful maybe), but I'm definitely grateful for all whom I've met this year, or those that have stayed with me, and have helped shaped me in one way or another. For now, I am very contented with my life, I enjoy working, meeting important people in my life, and trying new things everyday. I can only wish that 2014 will be as satisfying and I pray for a smooth and happy year ahead for all my loved ones.
It took me 6 hours to publish this post hahahaha thank goodness for the 8tracks playlist.
Heading out for seafood feast with my family later!!! :-)
Have a happy new year everyone! x
